2022 Estate Sauvignon Blanc
The 2022 growing season delivered us a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc. With lovely aromatics and flavors of Bartlett pear, Meyer lemon, and honeydew melon, this wine is accentuated by a subtle grassiness and saline minerality. The bright yet balanced acid profile is underscored by a subtle, smooth mouthfeel, which contributes to a vibrant and focused finish.

On an ideally positioned north-facing site adjacent to the garden at our ranch house, we grow 1.3 acres, just over 1,000 vines, of youthful Sauvignon Blanc on rocky soils. The site was planted in 2014 to clone 1, which produces small to medium sized compact clusters with vibrant aromatic berries.
Our take on the crisp and refreshing varietal began with pressing 100% whole clusters and settling the juice for 48 hours. Fermentation occurred in a stainless-steel tank for a duration of 35 days, with an average temperature of 60⁰F. The wine was racked off fermentation lees and transferred to a large format French oak cask, neutral French oak, and acacia barrels.
