2018 Zinfandel Field Blend
In keeping with the true style of field blend wines, this Zinfandel was co-fermented with Petite Sirah and Carignane as 100% whole berries in open-top stainless-steel fermenters for a 16-day-long maceration period. A traditional manual basket press was then used for this small lot. The wine aged in a mixture of French (50%) and American (50%) oak barrels, with 20% new oak overall. The wine was racked twice and spent a total of 18 months in barrel before being bottled un-fined and un-filtered.
