2016 "Rogers Schoolhouse" Zinfandel
The finest lots of our Block 17 Zinfandel were fermented as 100% whole berries in open-top tanks, where they spent approximately 15 days on the skins. Aging was done entirely in French oak barrels. The wine was racked twice and spent 15 months in barrel, with 33% of the oak being new.
This wine comes from Block 17, our premier block of Zinfandel, planted to the prized 120-year-old Teldeschi clone. Year after year, this block produces our most concentrated, deeply colored and focused Zinfandel.
